"my fab time at mill farm caroline wordsworth"

hi everyone at mill farm , id like to thank you for looking after us today i came with my friend and her son, from start to finish our afternoon was fantastic ,the place was absolutley beautiful and the surrounding countryside even more so.we were made very welcome as soon as we arrived not only by the staff but the farm dog and cat too,we were kitted out with saftey hats , and body protectors, and anything else we needed to keep us safe.we went to get our horses and were divided into groups depending on our ability and started off on our trek.there was 5 of us in our group and 2 leaders and both were so friendly and chatty , and told us anything we wanted to know either about the horses or our surroundings ,it was so easy going and relaxing .the grounds there were amazing i was actually really surprised to see all the greenery and the canal and the woods it was just so much better than i expected it to be. we got our full 1.5 hours (i actually think we got a bit more )we were nt rushed to finsh there were no corners cut we were taken where we could canter and gallop ,and we also did a lot of cantering and gallopping, more than what ive done on previous treks and hacks and when we eventually got back to the stables we were able to feed the horses with apples and carrots (that we had taken)which was really lovely.all the horses were very well looked after i rode jake and what a lovely chap he was all the staff were excellent ,very helpfull and very friendly they couldnt do enough for you and i cant wait to go back and see them all again ..BIG THANKYOUS TO YOU ALL ,

Great fun!"

Myself and three friends have all been keen riders over the years but not so much recently. We were keen to get back in the saddle and booked an afternoon hack at Mill Farm on Sunday.
The staff were friendly on arrival and we were kitted up in no time. When we arrived at the trekking centre we were spoilt for choice with the lovely horses and really felt we were matched to our needs. It was great to see such a well organised place with staff that actually paid an interest in us and were keen to give us lots of info on our horses. Its also refreshing to see horses with good quality tack etc rather than the usual riding school set up.
The advanced hack was great, lots of fun with plently of chance to have a good canter. The horses were just fantastic and felt nothing like a typical riding school. Im not sure of the young girls name that took us out but she was lovely.
Would recommend to all, especially my horse Morgan :) Until next time....

I started going to Mill Farm about 3 months ago and i think it was the best decision i have ever made, after trying other riding schools such as B1st, Bank Farm and Glen Jakes, this is by far the best.
No lesson is ever the same and they are really helping me to get jumping again after a very bad fall, installing confidence on the flat and over the jumps. They dont let you get away with a slouched posture or a wrong diagonal or even falling off, they make you get straight back on which is brilliant. They always have horses for loan and even for sale, i have viewed a few myself! All the staff and helpers are always willing to lend a hand, the track was amazing, i rode crystal round and i could tell she loved it, not many schools have places where you can gallop within the boundaries of the school. Ive also done a hack, which was brilliant, i rode Lexi, she was abit lazy but you always get lazy horses! Also i did the Trek with Bekki, she helped with my confidence all the way round.

I really would recommend this school to anyone wanting to futhur their knowlage on horseback or off.

Absolutely amazing riding school. All the horses and ponies are extremely well looked after and a lovely to ride. All have amazing personalities each different each to suit different needs. All the staff and Helpers really enjoy what they do and will never say no to helping out or telling you how to improve.the track is brilliant and lessons are the same you learn something new everytime you go.I have been going to mill farm for 2years now and love it. I have recommended to many friends even ones that don't ride. All in all brilliant place so don't waste time at other schools go to mill farm. :)
