LEVEL ONE - BEGINNER
Riders will be taught (with assistance) on a lead rein how to sit correctly on the horse/pony, how to hold the reins, basic steering, control of the horse in walk and trot, understanding the basic safety rules, learning layout and letters within the school.
LEVEL TWO - INTERMEDIATE BEGINNER
Furthering the skills outlined above, riders will be taught with little or no assistance how to control and steer the horse, without stirrups to stregthen legs and rising and sitting trots. When these skills have been mastered, riders will be taughter diagonals, position and posture, various school movements including a figure of 8, 20 metre circles and preparation for cantering.
LEVEL THREE - INTERMEDIATE
Within this skill level, riders will be taught to control the horse in walk, trot and canter with no assistance. Safe and secure positioning in all paces, further work on canter leads. Basic preparation fpr progression to jumping.
LEVEL FOUR - ADVANCED
All skill sets already achieved will be practiced on and improved with an emphasis on gaining better knowledge in the area of safety on the horse, yourself and others around you. Advancement of flat work to improve both horse and rider. Jumping smal fences and progressing to small course. Tacking and un-tacking horses.
